We know you’ve probably got some questions about Excalibur. We hope to answer most of
them in this section. But, if not, just send us your questions.

1. Is Excalibur designed for small, medium or large companies?
Excalibur is designed for all three. Excalibur will scale from single plants to operations containing hundreds of plants. Excalibur will grow as your company expands.
2. Which Microsoft Operating Systems and database engines are supported?
Excalibur is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012. Excalibur supports Microsoft SQL Server versions 2005, 2008 and 2012.
3. What are the recommended hardware specifications for a computer and a server?
A computer specification should match the recommended requirements for the version of Microsoft Windows installed. A server specification should match the recommended requirements for the version of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server installed.
4. Which financial accounting software packages are supported?
Excalibur can integrate with any open financial accounting software. This includes packages such as Sage 50, Sage 200, Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), etc.
5. Which weighbridges are supported?
The actual make of the weighbridge is not important. Rather, it is a piece of equipment called an Indicator which determines if the weighbridge can talk to a computer system. Basically, an Indicator acts as an interface between the computer and the weighbridge. Excalibur can be configured to talk to most standard Indicators. If you would like us to check for compatibility, please send us the make and model of your Indicator.
6. Are driver operated weighbridge systems supported?
Yes, driver operated weighbridge systems are supported for unmanned despatch plants.
7. Is a server required at every plant?
No. A one user despatch plant only requires a single computer.
